 All
of us have that bad feeling sometimes. Maybe you don't feel like
you belong at school. There may be some girls in your class that
seem more popular than you. They hang out together at school and
do fun things together. Whenever you see them you may think to
yourself, "I wish I could be friends with them. I wish they
would accept me. I wish I belonged with them."
As sad and lonely as you may feel sometimes there is Somebody
out there who wants to be your best friend. He is the most awesome
Person in the whole universe! He is the most popular Person in
all of history! His name is Jesus Christ!
Now you may be thinking to yourself, "Why would Jesus want
to be my best friend?" There is a simple answer. It is an
awesome story that just happens to be true.
 Thousands
of years ago Jesus made humanity. He
created the world and everything in it. He then made Adam
and Eve. Jesus became their best friend. They talked all the time!
There were no secrets, no selfishness and no problems! But then
one day Adam and Eve disobeyed Jesus and their friendship was
broken.
Ever since then Jesus has been unable to make friends with mankind
again. Sin (selfishness
and disobedience) has stood in the way. This
broke Jesus' heart. He loves us and wanted to be best friends
with us again but couldn't because of the sin.
 So
2,000 years ago, Jesus Christ, God himself, came to this earth
and became a man (a God-man actually). He lived a perfect life.
He died a horrible death·on purpose. Jesus died to suffer
for all of the selfish and sinful acts every human has committed.
He was innocent but he died in our place for our sins·so that
he could be friends with us again!
And the story gets even better. He didn't stay dead. Three days
later he rose again from the dead and proved that he was God! Now
he is asking you to be his friend forever. He said it this way
in the Bible,
"For God so loved the world (that's you and me) that
he gave his one and only Son (that's Jesus Christ when he died
on the cross), that whoever believes in him shall not perish
but have eternal life." John 3:16 '
 What
does this mean? This means that if you simply believe that Jesus
died for your selfishness and sins and trust in him to forgive
you that he will give you as a free gift eternal life in heaven
and that you can be best friends with him forever!

Going to heaven is not by being a good person. It is by trusting
in the only truly good person who ever lived·Jesus Christ.
Won't you trust in him right now? If you do you just became friends
with someone who will never ever hurt
you or stab you in the back. He is your Friend forever. You belong
with Him!
 God's
free gift to you
To receive God's free gift, all you have to do is accept that
you are a sinner and Jesus Christ's death on the cross was for
your sins. Believe in Him with your whole heart. You can ask Him
right now. Here is a sample prayer:
Dear Father God,
I know I have sinned and that my sin separates
me from Your holiness. I believe Your Son, Jesus died in my place-taking the
burden of my sins, paying for the sins I have committed or ever will commit.
I am asking for Your forgiveness and accept Jesus as my Savior. Thank you for
saving me from judgment. Thank you for allowing me to belong with You. Please
help me live my life, from this day forth, as Your child.
In Jesus Name I pray,
Amen
If you said this prayer, or something like it, with sincerity.you
have just become part of God's family! Mark
today's date. This is your spiritual birthday!
Now, it is important to get some support
in your new life.
- Tell someone about your new life in Jesus. Tell your Mom or
Dad. Tell another Christian (us!)
- Talk to God everyday about everything. Even the mistakes you
make.Pray for yourself and others.
- Get your own copy of the Holy Bible and read it every day.
If you do not have and are unable to get a Bible, please let us
know and we shall send you one (after your parents read and then
sign the consent form from the privacy statement).
- Find a church that teaches the Bible and attend services regularly.
Get involved in a youth group at church not just for social but
to learn more of God.
- Seek out other Christians in your school and develop new friendships.
- Share with others your love of Jesus.
- Do not let others or other things steal your love of Jesus
or your faith in Him. He will never leave you nor forsake you!
