Lacrosse-
Considered to be America's first sport, lacrosse was born of the North American Indian, embraced by the French and adapted by the Canadians. The modern day version of lacrosse has been played for over a century in the United States of America and the British Commonwealth.

Lacrosse is a combination of basketball, soccer and hockey. The game requires coordination, quickness and agility not necessarily strength. Lacrosse is fast paced and full of action. Equipment includes the lacrosse ball and the stick (the crosse) in which the players throw, catch and scoop the ball.

Lacrosse's history spans centuries. It was often played to resolve conflicts or prepare for war. Some fields were over 15 miles in length and games sometimes lasted days. The first womens lacrosse game was played in 1890 and the establishment of the first women's lacrosse team occurred in the year 1926.

Lacrosse for the tweens consists of clubs and camps while intercrosse is an alternative that is gaining popularity as a non-contact, introduction to the game of lacrosse.
